University College London is looking to recruit a Transition Engineering Manager into its Major Projects - Mobilisation team. We've got details.

The Transition Engineering Manager will report to the Assistant Director, Project Mobilisation, leading the provision of technical support and advice to capital project teams in respect of engineering infrastructure standards, design, specification installation and handover to effective operation and maintenance.

The major projects team is responsible for the Transforming UCL capital programme, a £1.25 billion investment in the future of the UCL Estate in Bloomsbury and it’s development of the new UCL East campus in the Olympic Park.

Transforming UCL is focused on creating sustainable spaces that meet UCL's world-class aspirations and commitment to excellence and innovation.

The role

This role has a wide scope and will provide the post holder with opportunity to work across all elements of the capital project programme of works and to engage major stakeholders throughout the process.

The estate

UCL is an historic estate with a significant number of Grade I and II listed buildings, which result in significant challenges in construction and refurbishment. Transforming UCL is designed to maintain the estate, while bringing it up to modern standards for construction, sustainability and inclusion.

The appointment of the Transition Engineering Manager will ensure UCL Estates is able to deliver the Transforming UCL programme to its final users in an effective and efficient way, so the programme can be enjoyed as it was designed to be - a sustainable estates fit for London’s Global University.
