Apex lifts the lot and Chocolate

Workspace, which offers a range of modern building spaces for businesses across London has given Apex Lifts a three year, fully comprehensive maintenance contract. This will see Apex servicing 125 lifts, as well as a complete lift modernisation at Workspace’s Chocolate Factory building (this will involve replacement of the current machinery, controller, car operator panel as well as a full rewire and clean down). Apex will service passenger, goods, platform and hoist lifts spread across 47 Workspace buildings. Inclusive of planned preventative maintenance call outs and repairs 24/7.

  • Refurbishment of hospital restaurants and investment in new catering equipment.
  • New healthy retail catering options for visitors and staff, including a deli serving salads, wraps, flat breads, and healthy drinks, and a ‘health bar’ offering ‘build-your-own’ smoothies and juices.

Catering improvements specified:

  • Creation of a specialist cleaning training centre which will train staff in cleaning techniques and standards.

Dry risers -  British Standards

Premier Technical Services Group electrical services division has been accredited to three British Standards. An external auditor attended PTSG’s UK Dry Risers Ltd and UK Dry Risers Maintenance sites to review the business’ quality management systems and scopes of work. UK Dry Risers Ltd and UK Dry Risers Maintenance have both received ISO 9001 & 14001, and OHSAS 18001, making them the first independent dry riser service providers to achieve these accreditations in the UK. IS0 9001 and 14001 are the British Standards for quality and environmental management systems, while OHSAS 18001 is the British Standard for occupational health and safety management systems.

Royal College of Nursing's national contract

BAM FM will carry out the mechanical and electrical maintenance services at 16 offices, conference centres and training facilities throughout the UK for the Royal College of Nursing - the membership organisation that represents, educates and protects the rights of nurses in the UK.

“Our regional office structure means we can support the entire portfolio of the College’s headquarters buildings in London, Edinburgh, Belfast and Cardiff as well as 12 regional locations. BAM will self-deliver using its network of engineers. We are also able to provide the client with live customised dashboards, which allows them to monitor operational trends and performance, remotely, in real time,” said Garry Carter, Head of Business Development.

The three-year contract will commence on July 1.
