My Local Heroes - Trios Gain Shines

12 February 2016 | Updated 01 January 1970

It was a slow week for FM contract stories until news hit that the Trios Group has been awarded a Hard FM and Facilities Helpdesk contract by My Local, the newly formed national convenience store retailer, for all 140 of its stores across the UK.

The Helpdesk operates 24 hours a day, 365 days a year and manages all requests for Hard FM services across the estate as well as planning and monitoring all contracted planned visits.

A dedicated team of Operators plans and progresses all reactive and PPM service delivery, which includes all Statutory Compliance, M&E, Refrigeration, HVAC, Building Fabric, Auto doors and shutters.

All services are managed through Trios’ own internal helpdesk and CAFM system, which operates in real time and produces monthly management information for the client.

The Trios FM team monitors all costs to ensure they are controlled within budgets – data is used to drive trend analysis to plan lifecycle replacements of equipment for capital budgeting.

The Trios FM team manages a mix of dedicated Trios 'StoreForce' engineers and specialist partners to deliver all services. The solution involves regular timetabled visits to each store to carry out planned servicing, maintenance and statutory tasks as well as actively supporting the retail operations teams whilst on site.

Clear Service Level Agreements allow the customer to have confidence and understanding of delivery of services. The stores have a full annual programme of visits and so know when the StoreForce technician will be attending.

The technicians each look after a group of sites, which means that they are familiar with the stores’ layout and equipment – helping to minimise disruption and ensuring they are efficient and productive on each site visit. There is a full reactive service to support the planned visits when required.

“Our knowledge of the convenience and food retailing sector enabled us to fashion a solution which suited the My Local requirement of improving performance, whilst closely managing costs,” said Jeff Alden, Managing Director of Trios Facilities. “We have invested in our helpdesk agents and software system, using our knowledge of hard services delivery, to shape a system that mirrors what the customer needs. This, combined with smart use of mobile IT, has given the My Local team the comfort of knowing they have a well-maintained, compliant and safe portfolio from which to service their customers.“

The Trios Group Plc is a multi-service, national provider of property and facilities solutions. The Group now offers extensive experience and service across the Public and Private Sectors including Retail, Leisure, Commercial Offices and Government, Local Authority, Education and Health and markets, both on static and multiple site portfolios. National services are delivered through four specialist core operating divisions: Compliance - Legal and Statutory Compliance; Property – Total Property Solutions; Security – Physical Security to Properties; Facilities – Software & Management Support Services.
