A host of new features in HR Unity to support more streamlined HR software processes has been launched by Carval Computing.

The newly launched HR Unity v5.6 has been introduced into the UK by Carval.

New features include an improved rostering system, new Performance Review module, e-Recruitment and a new Expenses feature enabling automatic calculation of mileage from postcodes.

The Time and Attendance module has been updated to support facial recognition terminals, increasing security and reducing attendance fraud.

The improved Rostering system enables managers to compile rosters for shifts using more detailed information based on staff availability and skill sets. The system holds details of when staff usually work, i.e. certain days of the week, no nights etc and individual staff members are able to fine tune this availability as circumstances dictate, either using self service or via text. This enables staff to manage their work/life balance and it saves managers time when creating rosters.

The new Expenses feature enables managers to validate mileage claims via the optional built-in point-to-point mileage calculator. The Timesheet module now also includes the expenses and mileage calculation allowing the total cost for projects and activities to be analysed.

“The latest improvements to HR Unity have been designed to support the way that HR teams and HR focused companies wish to work,” explained John Ovington, Sales and Support Director, Carval. “We have streamlined many of the administration processes that can be time-consuming and prone to errors to free HR and line managers to concentrate on the development and skill sets of staff within an organisation, whether to support them in their current roles or provide training to help them grow into new ones.”

Carval has also achieved accreditation with Capita as a SIMS integrator with its HR software fully integrating with the schools administration system, reducing the duplication and management of HR data.
