Read Full ArticleAlmost 17 million working days are lost each year in the UK due to alcohol misuse alone and 70% of substance abusers are in full time employment.
Substance misuse has a huge impact on business in both legal and financial terms. Managing this misuse in the workplace is now seen as a priority for employers as it places businesses and employees at risk.
A webinar (which includes the support of the British Institute of Facilities Management) and organized by Barbour, aims to focus on the business case for testing; the legalities and risks of failing to tackle substance misuse; how to engage the workforce and the practicalities of implementing an effective programme.
The two main speakers are: Christian Zuniga, Senior Scientist, Randox Testing Services and Richard Byrne, Route Safety Improvement Manager, Network Rail.
The webinar is being held on 31 January 2014 and will conclude with an extended Q&A session where attendees can submit their questions to our speaker.
