Getting the Knowledge Online

28 April 2015 | Updated 01 January 1970

To ensure that the BRE Academy's online training and education programmes are effective, it uses blended learning approaches where traditional class based delivery is combined with e-learning; using video links, podcasts, live streams and tutorials.

The BRE Academy's e-learning courses allow clients and candidates to benefit from industry expert knowledge and experience, at a time and a place that is convenient. Its blended learning courses cover much of the learning material online, maximising value from the time spent in the classroom that minimises the time spent out of the workplace.

Among the course on offer are:

  • Asbestos Awareness –a two-hour online training course and will provide a good understanding of what asbestos is and where it is likely to be found. It will explain how to protect yourself when you do find it. (2 hours towards your CPD.)
  • Radon Awareness – this on-line radon awareness course has been developed using BRE’s research based experience and over 25 years of practical knowledge gained from projects in the UK and around the World. Reference is made to BRE's guidance publications and Good Building Guides with other materials and illustrations supplied by the HPA and other expert bodies. (2 hours towards your CPD.)
  • Principles of Sustainability – the course is modular with learning presented in manageable chunks. It aims to give a good grounding in the principles of sustainability. (8 hours towards your CPD.)

Courses and programmes can be tailored to specific individuals and organisational requirements. For further information, Click Here
