Global Rebranding Leads to Name Change

08 April 2015 | Updated 01 January 1970

Since the beginning of April, McQuay (UK) has traded under the new name Daikin Applied (UK) Ltd and Daikin Applied Service.

The renamed company is a major supplier of energy efficient AHU and chiller products, heat pumps, cooling systems, ventilation and air conditioning systems.

Daikin was founded in October 1924 and is now a Fortune 1000 company with more than 56,000 employees worldwide.

As part of the rebrand, a new fully responsive, integrated website was launched on 1 April (www.daikinapplied.uk) and will be a hub of information for contractors, customers and suppliers.

“The decision to rename McQuay (UK) and McQuay Service is part of a global rebranding strategy to more clearly define and communicate our HVAC offering to the UK and markets worldwide,” explained Jim Henley, General Manager, McQuay (UK). “For our customers, it will mean a strengthening in our commitment to them, not only through product and technology innovations, but also accompanied by expert consultation and enhanced communication. While our name is changing, our legal status and our office address and contact details will remain the same.”
