17 September 2014 | Updated 01 January 1970

LMG's Autumn Seminar later this month has gathered a team of industry experts to offer their views on the digital future of the built environment. Scheduled for the 25 September at The Andaz Hotel, Liverpool Street EC2, the aim of the seminar is to highlight the need for the construction, CRE, FM and IT communities to understand the opportunity enabled by extra low voltage (ELV) intelligent buildings and to stress the need for close collaboration in order to achieve optimal, business changing outcomes.

Key-Note Speakers are:

David Philp, Head of BIM at UK BIM Task Group will provide an overview of BIM (Building Information Modeling) and with the aid of case studies, clearly illustrate the economic and strategic benefits associated with BIM adoption.

Jason Clark, Project Director, UBS, will address BIM integration into operations, describing UBS's journey of creating a BIM strategy for its new building and integrating it into the operational requirements following occupation.

Mike Gilmore, eReady Buildings, will look at the suitability of building infrastructures to support the latest generation of intelligent building technology with particular emphasis on the thermal impact of supporting ever increasing demands for power and bandwidth.

Joe Harris, Manhattan Software, will address the impact that new ways of working and activity based workspaces are having on FM and space scheduling strategies.

Mike Hook, LMG, will be sharing research into using location based services to solve the inherent problems associated with traditional space planning and scheduling policies, thereby providing building users with an optimised, interactive workspace experience.
