Och Aye the New - Scottish Firm 'Launches' UK-wide

03 February 2015 | Updated 01 January 1970

Arthur McKay, the building support services company, has announced the launch of its facilities management offer throughout the UK which is based on self-delivering maintenance and cleaning services and partnering with other specialist providers.

The company has a strong presence in Scotland, where it enjoys a number of long-term relationships with its clients and profitable growth. It has been operating north of the border for fifty years and has built a policy that sees employees offered layers of training, development and support. Director of Facilities Services at Arthur McKay, Michael Floyd (pictured), told ThisWeekinFM on Friday: “We knew we had the ability to expand but we needed to ensure the infrastructure and resource was available throughout the UK. We had slowly been creeping south - establishing offices in the north of England and in the Midlands for some time and an office in London more recently.

"Our cautious approach is because we believe that if you get things right, especially when it comes to staff, you can keep customers happy - and retain their business...which then allows you to do the 'innovation' thing and all of the other good stuff that we talk about in the FM business.”
