This Week in FM, a new media offering envisaged by Laurence Allen (pictured right), Roy Winters (pictured left) and Brian Shillibeer (pictured centre) hit screens on Friday 13 September having undergone two previous weeks of ‘soft launches’ followed by snagging.

One of the most eagerly awaited media projects for the industry had previously been presented to a partner and future partner audience. “This will be the portal for everybody in corporate real estate, facilities management or support services,” says Laurence Allen. “TwinFM is where people will come for their news and industry insight.”

Roy Winters who had worked with Laurence Allen for a number of years said: “I have never been so excited by anything I have launched in my entire career which spans both publishing and involvement in FM.

“I really do believe we have created a media platform that will appeal to our target audience and more. We have developed a circulation in excess 150,00 across the built and facilities environment.”

This Week in FM is supported by a weekly news service – distributed every Friday both in the UK and overseas. Contacts have been developed over 21 years – Laurence Allen launched one of the industry’s leading journals all those years ago in association with Brian Shillibeer who has joined the This Week in FM team as Chief Correspondent.

Brian said: “This is a fabulous and massive industry that throws up genuinely interesting news. And we will deliver top stories from a broader spectrum than has ever been covered by the traditional trade press.”

Says Roy Winters: “We have brought this to our founders and partners - and now to our massive circulation. We will not stop doing development work and having courted opinion from the market, we will also review our progress in front of editorial board (drawn from colleagues in both the supplier and client end of the market) in about six weeks time. We will be doing everything possible to ensure that what we do has no peers.”

Laurence Allen concluded: “I am so delighted with what we have achieved. There were many people who said we could never pull this off. Anyone looking at this site will agree that we have excelled ourselves. From a start date a little over three months ago we have pulled in support from a vast industry and I have to thank all our supporters for their efforts, commitment and belief – the process of delivering what we said we’d do is about to start.”
