When is it?
Thursday 20 January 2022, 18:00 for 18:30
Where is it?
National Liberal Club, Whitehall Place, London SW1A
Good Wine, Good Food, Good Company, Good Debate, what more could you ask for?
This meeting’s theme is “Net-Zero Carbon, Challenges and Opportunities”, as we welcome speaker Simon Wyatt, Partner at Cundall.
The Rumford Club was founded in 1947 by engineers Bernard Oldham and Don Sayers to encourage debate and discussion around technical issues such as air movement in buildings. The topics for discussion have expanded over the years but its key remit is still to host regular dinner meetings with keynote speakers discoursing on particular topics around the industry which frames the subsequent debate. The club was named after Count Rumford, born Benjamin Thompson in America in 1753, who went on to become a fellow of the Royal Society and achieved popular acclaim for his designs for domestic fireplaces.
If you are interested in becoming a member and attending any of the dinners, you can apply through their website.
Membership starts at £30 per annum
