Skanska has been awarded the contract for constructing Eighty Fenchurch Street, worth £127 million, by Partners Group Fenchurch Ltd. The project is a mixed-use commercial and retail development in the City of London.

Eighty Fenchurch Street will be a 14-storey building comprising 240,000sq.ft (22,000sq.m) of office accommodation and 12,250sq.ft (1,140sq.m) of retail space.

Designed by architects TP Bennett, the completed scheme will include six landscaped roof terraces, creating much sought-after outdoor space in the area.

The scheme will target a BREEAM excellent rating in addition to a Wired Platinum Certification, which measures connectivity features to ensure the building will fit the digital needs of future tenants.

Construction will begin in spring 2018, and the development is due to be completed in 2020.
