Following a competitive tender, global real estate advisor CBRE has been appointed to provide a total FM contract for the Royal College of Physicians (RCP).

CBRE will be initially looking after the RCP’s Grade I listed (60s modernist) headquarters in London. Many thousands of people use and visit the building each year, as in addition to hosting medical meetings, exams, lectures and other RCP activities, the building is an award-winning venue with conference, meeting and exhibition spaces.

Under the mandate terms, CBRE will cover mechanical and electrical services, cleaning, security and event logistics. The contract is for five years, with the option to extend for a further three.

Pete Belmore, Business Unit Director at CBRE said: “This is the first time that the College has outsourced its FM. We aim to provide a holistic and timely service.”

Servest acquires pest control specialist Pro-Check Environmental Services

Servest has acquired Dundee based pest control specialist Pro-Check Environmental Services Northern Limited as it steps into the growing pest control market.

Pro-Check offer pest control, cleaning, hygiene services and environmental solutions throughout Scotland.

The proximity of the company to Arthur McKay's head office, who were acquired by Servest in late 2016, provides further opportunities for the division to offer pest control services to its client base.

Two out of the three ain't bad

Kristina Jackson was crowned the 2017 Sustainability/CSR Manager of the year, whilst Helene Carpentier was one of the three nominees shortlisted in the category.
