The Corporate Receptionist of the Year was first launched in 2019, with huge success

For many years there have been awards to recognise front of house staff working in hotels. However, with more and more of these outstanding individuals moving over to the corporate world, attracted by higher salaries, a better work life balance and the opportunity to build a rewarding career in some of the most fantastic organisations in the world, it was the right time to create an opportunity to recognise and celebrate these talented people.

Charleigh Churchill of OCS Amika Guest Services is winner of Corporate Receptionist of the Year Award 2024.

On 20th May at the Awards event held at Addleshaw Goddard in the City of London, Joanne Tattum Head of Partnerships at Moneypenny announced that “Charleigh Churchill of OCS Amika Guest Services was the winner of the Award for 2024 and received the prestigious trophy.”

Due to the incredible calibre of all of the ten finalists, the judges felt compelled to also recognise individuals in 2nd and 3 places in addition to one highly commended place. Congratulations go to Jennifer Heyworth from Rapport Guest Services (2nd place), Leah-Emelia Tenorio from Livv Workplace (3rd place) and Lily Bramwell from Portico (highly commended).

Shortly after receiving the trophy, the winner, Charleigh Churchill was clearly delighted with her achievement and said, “I did not expect this at all. It's been an incredible journey and I'm so grateful for all of the people I've met along the way. I'm so honoured to have won Corporate Receptionist of the Year 2024.”

She went on to say a few words for anyone thinking of entering the competition next year. “Do it. Do it. Don't think twice. Do it. It sounds so daunting. And trust me, I know it is. I went back and forth on the application process. It was a new thing for my company and myself. But do it. It's an opportunity you will never, ever regret.”

Head Judge, Derek Williams, Founder of the WOW! Awards said: “The competition looks at every possible aspect of being a Corporate Receptionist. Being sector specific and so focused on customer service, makes it, possibly, the toughest of all business awards. Every finalist from previous years that I have spoken with, has gone on to enjoy career progression and success.”

Chair of Corporate Receptionist of the Year, Dirk Talsma added: “This years' finalists should all be incredibly proud of their achievements. They are a credit to the hospitality industry and to the companies that they represent!”
