Cloudfm Academy Achieves City & Guilds Approved Centre Status

21 September 2018

Cloudfm has recently seen its industry-leading approach to training reach the next level, with its Academy being awarded City & Guilds Approved Centre status.

Opened in October 2017, the Cloudfm Academy is a purpose-built facility designed to meet the specific needs of the FM industry, and includes a unique engineering suite, featuring the typical appliances and systems found across client estates – an industry first. Located close to Cloudfm’s headquarters, the facility enables Cloudfm staff to pursue their career goals, building confidence, increasing knowledge, and nurturing the sort of innovative approach that such a forward-thinking organisation demands.

Alongside City & Guilds qualifications, the Academy offers industry-specific training opportunities across a range of technical, interpersonal and leadership topics – with classroom-based courses developed in partnership with the British Institute of Facilities Management (BIFM), and hands-on, practical training delivered in the custom-built engineering suite.

“We are changing the rules of FM, re-defining traditional industry processes, and harnessing the latest technology to offer a more effective and efficient service. To do this we need talented and driven individuals; the people behind the technology who provide expertise where the system requires it, the multi-skilled engineers delivering proactive maintenance, and the FM-specific core services underpinning the organisation,” said Jeff Dewing, CEO at Cloudfm Group. “Our training provision is central to our strategy for growth and excellence, and it’s therefore key that our programme is comprehensive, flexible, accessible, and beneficial to our people.”

“We’re delighted to be building on the breadth of our training offering with our new City & Guilds Approved Centre status,” said David Davensac, Head of Training at Cloudfm. “Training and development is not only key to attracting, retaining and supporting the best talent our industry has to offer, but the fact that we have the best-trained, most capable people also results in tangible, long-term benefits for our clients.”
