Stadium Support Services has been appointed Official Projects Partner to Surrey County Cricket Club at the Kia Oval, formalising a working relationship built over more than 10 years.
The partnership marks a natural progression, bringing a more structured and collaborative approach to project delivery at one of the UK’s leading international cricket venues.
Over the past decade, Stadium Support Services has delivered a range of works across the Kia Oval, including steelwork painting, toilet refurbishments, installation of anti-slip stair treads, pest proofing and specialist cleaning. This experience provides a strong foundation for the partnership, alongside a clear understanding of how to operate in a live stadium environment.
Stadium Support Services will support the club across reactive maintenance and project delivery, helping to maintain and enhance standards for players, staff and supporters throughout the season.
Scott Hudson, Managing Director at Stadium Support Services, said: “Having worked with the team at the Kia Oval for the past 10 years on an ad hoc basis, we are really pleased to formalise the partnership. We know the venue well and understand the standards expected. This next step allows us to work more closely with the club to maintain and enhance the experience for everyone who visits.”
Joseph Noble, Commercial Director at Stadium Support Services, added: “As a business that has predominantly operated across football, this partnership represents an exciting step into cricket at the highest level. The Kia Oval is an iconic venue, and we are looking forward to supporting the club with the same level of expertise, responsiveness and quality that we deliver across our wider portfolio.”
Jess Stapleton, Operations Director at the Kia Oval, Surrey County Cricket Club, said: “Stadium Support Services bring a proven track record of delivering facilities management solutions across major sporting venues. Their understanding of the unique demands of a live stadium environment has been evident in the work they have delivered at the Kia Oval, and we’re delighted to formalise this partnership as we look to build on that success.”
