Laurence Allen has worked in publishing and the online media sector for more than 30 years, in a career that has seen him launch and/or publish a small stable of specialist titles: Energy in Buildings, Glass and Glazing Products, Hospital and Healthcare, Mind Your Own Business, Flooring, Cleaning & Hygiene Today.
Perhaps most pertinently, in 1992 he saw an opportunity to enter the still young but rapidly burgeoning facilities management sector and launched FMJ - Facilities Management Journal. FMJ with its closely related sister titles Flooring and Cleaning & Hygiene Today were then launched as online titles in 1995. These titles were amongst the first magazines in the UK to make the online leap.
A well known and respected figure within the FM industry today, Laurence is an active Liveryman of the Worshipful Company of Environmental Cleaners and a Freeman of the City of London.
