Volaris Group has announced the acquisition of Matrix Booking Limited, a UK-based provider of meeting room and desk booking software used by government departments, NHS organisations and other public sector bodies across the United Kingdom.
Matrix Booking's software helps organisations manage how their people use physical workspace, covering meeting room reservations and desk booking across distributed estates. The business has built its practice around a single objective: helping people make the most of the time they spend in the office. That focus has proven even more important as UK public sector organisations have moved toward hybrid working patterns and more intensive use of shared buildings.
Matrix Booking was acquired from the Matrix Booking Employee Ownership Trust. Under Volaris Group's permanent ownership model, Matrix Booking will continue to operate as a standalone business, retaining its brand, its customer relationships and its operating independence.
Volaris Group acquires, strengthens, and grows vertical market technology companies. As an Operating Group of Constellation Software Inc. (CSI), Volaris focuses on enabling businesses to thrive in the markets they serve – through investment in people, products, and customer relationships.
Andrew Humphrey, Volaris Group Portfolio Manager for the UK and Ireland, said: "What stood out during our conversations with Matrix Booking's customers was how consistently positive they were – not just satisfied with the software, but genuinely enthusiastic about the team behind it. That kind of customer relationship takes years to build, and it tells you a great deal about how a business operates. The Volaris Europe team is looking forward to supporting the team as they build on that success."
Ian Jones, Chief Customer Officer at Matrix Booking, said: "This is a great forward step for Matrix Booking. Our customers can expect the same teams, the same focus and the same high standards they've always had - now backed by a global organisation committed to long-term investment. For us that means more investment in AI and the automation that our customers are already asking for, and an even faster pace of innovation across the board."
