Apleona has been commissioned by the Jewish Museum Berlin Foundation to provide hard services for the Jewish Museum Berlin.

With around 700,000 visitors every year, the Jewish Museum Berlin is one of Germany’s most frequented museums.

The contract comprises several buildings in the Berlin district of Kreuzberg. The agreed services include the operation, maintenance and repair of all technical building systems, as well as energy management with a view to optimizing the energy consumption of the buildings. In addition to high-security requirements, operating the ventilation and air-conditioning systems to ensure the constant room temperature and humidity required by the museum represents a particular challenge for Apleona’s facilities management team. The agreed service package also includes a 24/7 on-call service.

This news comes as Apleona also announced that it has completed a merger agreement with Gegenbauer Group, one of the leading FM providers in Germany. Following the merger, Apleona will become an integrated real estate services firm with more than 40,000 employees across Europe, generating annual sales of around Є3.5 billion.
