Arcus FM Awarded Five-Year Santander UK Estate Contract
20 May 2026
Arcus Facilities Management has secured a five-year contract with Santander UK, following a market review, to deliver a fully integrated facilities management programme across the bank’s entire UK estate.
The appointment represents a significant expansion of Arcus’ relationship with Santander, moving from the delivery of retail engineering services to full end-to-end facilities management service, across one of the UK’s high-profile banking portfolios.
The appointment follows a sustained, strategic focus by Arcus on building its corporate and mission-critical capabilities, strengthening its operating model to support complex, national estates at scale.
Santander undertook a market review with the objective of consolidating its supplier base and appointing a single strategic partner capable of driving consistency, resilience and estates excellence for both colleagues and customers across its UK portfolio.
The estate spans two main flagship Head Office campuses in Milton Keynes and London - alongside a number of regional offices, corporate locations, approximately 350 retail branches, and two data centers.
Under the new agreement, Arcus will deliver a complete suite of services, including engineering, cleaning, front of house, energy support services and some back-office functions. Delivery will be supported by resident engineers at larger and critical sites, alongside Arcus’ nationwide mobile engineering network for retail locations, and a 24/7 UK-based helpdesk.
The contract also deepens the partnership between Santander and the Arcus Projects division, supporting continued investment and development across the bank’s UK estate.
Lee Barrow, Head of Property Operations at Santander UK, said: “Arcus is a partner we’ve created a strong relationship with over the last couple of years, and we’re confident they are now the right business to take responsibility for our wider estate. They’ve shown technical depth, support collaboration, and their ability to operate at scale stood out. We’re excited about the impact this partnership will have on supporting our colleagues and customers across the UK.”
Theresa Bell, Chief Commercial Officer for Arcus Facilities Management, said: “This is a significant milestone for Arcus. To be entrusted with the full UK estate of a brand with the scale, complexity and pedigree of Santander is a powerful endorsement of our capability and our people.”
Bell added: “Over recent years, we have made a very deliberate investment in building Arcus’ presence in the corporate and mission-critical sector – strengthening our operating model, capability and leadership to support complex, national estates.”
Bell concluded: “Fully integrated FM contracts of this scale are now rare in the UK market. This award reflects not only the strength of our existing relationship with Santander, but the confidence they have in our ability to deliver consistently at scale, across critical environments, and to the highest standard.”
