Arcus FM Supports 179 People Into Employment Through Social Value Activity
21 August 2026 | Updated 20 August 2026
Arcus FM has released its 2025-26 Social Value Report, highlighting the impact of its work to create employment opportunities, support local communities and widen access to careers in facilities management.
Social value remains one of Arcus’ five strategic pillars, with the business focusing its activity on employability and community work. Its approach prioritises support for under-represented groups, including young people, care leavers, prison leavers, ex-services personnel and individuals with long-term health conditions.
During the year, Arcus supported 179 people from disadvantaged backgrounds into employment. This included 84 people recruited through social value partners and a further 95 people employed directly outside those partnerships.
Arcus also strengthened its social value partner network, growing from 23 to 25 partners during the year. Through these partnerships, the business exceeded its employability target of 49 job offers, achieving 84 job offers through social value partners alone.
Alongside recruitment activity, Arcus continued to raise awareness of careers in facilities management. Colleagues supported 13 careers events across schools, universities, prisons and partner organisations, helping people learn more about the sector and the opportunities available.
Community activity remained an important part of Arcus’ social value work. The business contributed £21,280 to community causes through fundraising, donations and Arcus in the Community activity. This included £8,750 donated to 25 colleague-nominated causes and a record-breaking £11,519 raised for Andy’s Man Club through the annual Christmas raffle.
Arcus has also been shortlisted for the Kimberly-Clark Golden Service Awards in the Social Impact category, having won the award in 2024 and the Construction News Awards in the Diversity and Inclusion Excellence category.
Debbie Gregory, Chief People Officer at Arcus FM, said: “As a large nationwide employer, creating routes into work is one of the most direct ways we can make a difference. This year’s report shows how social value can open doors for people who may face barriers to employment, while helping bring new talent into facilities management.”
Gregory added: “Supporting 179 people from disadvantaged backgrounds into employment is something we are proud of, and it has only been possible through the commitment of our colleagues, customers and partners.”
Lisa Jardim, Head of Social Value at Arcus FM, said: “I’m proud of the range of activity taking place across Arcus, from supporting people into employment to colleague-led fundraising and community support. The record-breaking amount raised for Andy’s Man Club is a brilliant example of how much our colleagues care about making a difference.”
