CIBSE President Fiona Cousins has been appointed an Honorary Fellow of Trinity Hall, Cambridge, for her contributions to the engineering sector.

Fiona is an alumna of the college, having graduated from Trinity Hall in 1989 with a degree in Engineering Science. She currently serves as the Arup Americas Region Chair and as a member of the Arup Group Board. Fiona has worked on high-profile projects such as the US Embassy in London, Fulton Street Station in New York and the Frick Chemistry Building at Princeton University. She took over the CIBSE presidency from Adrian Catchpole in June 2024.

Fiona said: “I am delighted to have been made an Honorary Fellow. I loved my time at College – studying, growing, and becoming myself – and have enjoyed alumni events too. It’s a great pleasure to be renewing the connection and I look forward to engaging more.”

She will be formally admitted to her Honorary Fellowships at a ceremony in the college in November 2024.
