Civil Service Closes Third London Office

Civil Service Closes Third London Office
04 December 2025

The Government Property Agency has closed its third civil service office in London, as part of a cost-saving exercise.

By closing 10 Victoria Street, the government will achieve annual savings of £8.8 million. Approximately 1,000 staff from various Civil Service departments, including the Cabinet Office, had occupied the space.

The office will be cleared of furniture and equipment before being handed back over to the landlord in February 2026.

The Government Property Agency has already closed two other civil service London offices at 100 Parliament Street and 26 Whitehall. By shedding London-based real estate, the government says it will save £94 million annually by 2032.

102 Petty France, one of the largest government buildings in London, and 39 Victoria Street, home to The Department of Health and Social Care, will all be closed during the programme.
