Read Full ArticleNew contracts to provide design and specialist services for the Government Hubs and Whitehall Campus Programmes have been awarded to WSP and Tetra Tech.
Engineering and environmental professional services consulting firm WSP will provide design services for the Government Property Agency’s (GPA) Capital Programmes. Tetra Tech has been awarded the specialist services contract. Both companies have been appointed for an initial four-year term, with up to three-year extension options.
Both contracts were awarded via the Crown Commercial Services Estates Management Services framework.
Clive Anderson, Director of Capital Projects at the Government Property Agency, said: “Our newly-appointed strategic partners will provide the GPA with industry-leading professional services support for up to seven years, enabling more efficient project delivery, greater value for money across the most diverse and challenging real estate programmes in the UK.
“Social value was a key element within this tender process, with a focus on tackling economic inequality through the creation of employment, training and growth in all regions of the UK; and driving sustainability benefits through net-zero interventions.”
Paul Tremble, Chief Strategy Officer at WSP, said: “WSP is delighted to be partnering with the GPA to provide design services for its Capital Programme. At a time when driving sustainable economic growth across the UK is so important, we look forward to deploying the breadth of our design and engineering expertise to support the GPA’s delivery of a greener and more efficient public estate.”
Craig Hatch, EUD Division president at Tetra Tech, added: “We are delighted to be able to apply our Leading with Science approach to the GPA’s Capital Programme. It will enable us to work collaboratively to provide wider specialist expertise in the design, build and launch of government hubs over the coming years. We will bring specialist techniques in secure buildings, heritage estates, net zero and decarbonisation.”
