Read Full ArticleCMD Ltd, the UK manufacturer of power distribution systems for commercial environments, is to be acquired by Rubicon Partners.
Rubicon Partners is a London-based investment partnership focused on the acquisition of complex industrial businesses. CMD will be the sixth investment made by Rubicon through its Fund V, which includes the utilities division of Amey.
CMD was previously owned by Rubicon, who created the business in 2001 by integrating three separate companies. Today, CMD’s business encompasses power distribution, workstation power and ergonomic solutions for employee performance.

The company employs 158 people, from its manufacturing unit in Rotherham and showroom in London. Jon Holding will remain as Managing Director alongside the existing management team.
