JLL is to acquire Envio Systems, a cloud-based IoT platform for enhanced performance and operations of commercial buildings.
The Berlin-based company’s smart building system will allow JLL’s clients to leverage data from sensors and applications to make sustainable changes throughout their estate.
Founded in 2013 and established in 2016, Envio employs 42 people, and its technology is used in over 21 countries globally, for clients such as CBRE, Starwood Capital, The Crown Estate, Swiss Prime Site, and BNP Paribas.
In December 2019, Envio Systems raised $5 million in funding from Ebm-Papst, an HVAC leader based in Germany.
"We welcome the Envio team into JLL and are excited about our collective vision to enable our clients to manage their real estate more dynamically," said Neil Murray, CEO of Work Dynamics, JLL.
"Combining Envio's best-in-class systems with JLL's expertise, technology and global platform – along with our shared values around innovation and sustainability – will enable us to solve our clients' problems better, faster, and more cost-effectively than anyone else in the industry."
Envio Systems joins PropTech company Hank, Metropolitan Valuation Services and Gilliland Construction, who were also acquired by JLL in 2022.
