The Worshipful Company of Pattenmakers is looking for FM professionals early in their careers to nominate themselves for the Future Leader FM Award 2025.
The winner will receive a £500 training bursary and support to create a bespoke personal development programme to the value of £2,000. They’ll also receive Freedom of the Livery for five years and have access to an experienced mentor and community of FM professionals.
The Worshipful Company of Pattenmakers is one of 110 Livery Companies of the City of London and was incorporated by Royal Charter in 1670. The company’s membership was originally made up of skilled wooden-soled overshoe (pattens) makers, but now includes professionals from the UK footwear trade and facilities management. The Pattenmakers has held an annual FM Dinner (also known as the Built Environment Dinner) for more than 20 years.
The Pattenmaker Future Leader Award is open to facilities managers who have been working in the sector for a minimum of five years and can demonstrate their enthusiasm and commitment to their own professional development.
Finalists and their line managers will be invited to attend the FMBE Trade Dinner at Butcher’s Hall on 16 September. The winner will be announced on 20 September, with the award officially presented by the Lord Mayor of London at the Pattenmakers’ Annual Banquet, held at the Mansion House in January 2025.
Previous winners include Anthony Atkinson of CBRE, Agathe Le Mong of Bouygues E&S Solutions Ltd, Wayne Young, FM at DB Cargo and Chantilly Cole, Senior FM at Savills.
Entry is free, and all the information needed to enter the Pattenmakers Young Facilities Manager Award is available at https://www.pattenmakers.co.uk/future-leader-fm-award-2025/
The closing deadline is 5 August 2024.
