The Pattenmakers Future Leader FM Award 2026 is now open for entries.

The Worshipful Company of Pattenmakers is looking for newcomers in the facilities management and workplace sectors to apply for its annual Future Leader Award.

Any FM and workplace professional with a maximum of five years of experience can apply, as can employers who can nominate multiple staff members. Previous winners have included  facilities managers from CBRE, Bouygues, Atalian Servest, Atlas Worklace Services, Hermes, the British Computer Society (now BCS) and ISS Facility Services. SBFM Account Director Abigail Richards was the 2025 award winner.

The 2026 winner of the Pattenmaker Future Leader Award will receive a range of professional development opportunities, including:

• Expert support to create a bespoke personal development programme, including off-site courses and a programme of customised work placements 
• Training up to the value of £2,000 developed in consultation with the winner’s line manager or employer
• A financial bursary of £500, donated by I-FM
• The Freedom of the Company, and the opportunity to apply for the Freedom of the City of London at a later stage
• An invitation to attend the annual Workplace Futures Conference
