The Chartered Association of Building Engineers Presents Two Gold Service Awards
27 May 2025

Two Gold Service Awards have been presented at The Chartered Association of Building Engineers’ 2025 Presidential Inauguration.

At the ceremony on 9 May 2025, Lord John Lytton Hon FCABE and Dave Courtney FCABE were both honoured with The Chartered Association of Building Engineers (CABE) Gold Service Award, the association’s highest accolade.

The Gold Service Award recognises CABE members who have demonstrated commitment to the building engineering sector and the evolution of the built environment as a whole, through voluntary work to advance the association at a regional, national or international level.

The first award was presented to Lord John Lytton, a CABE patron since 2014 and current member of the House of Lords, for his work creating partnerships for the association through his industry and government networks.

The second Gold Service Award was presented to Dave Courtney, a CABE Member for over 20 years, for his voluntary work as the previous Chair of the Republic of Ireland Regional committee, sitting on the board for two three-year terms.
