Read Full ArticleWith nine sensors in every uHoo monitor, you'll get more information on indoor air quality than any other indoor air quality monitoring system in its class, claim the suppliers, AirProfiling.
uHoo has the ability to detect and monitor levels of Nitrogen Dioxide (NO2) as well as other pollutants such as Particulate Matter (PM2.5) and Volatile organic compounds (VOCs). And this all comes in a rather smart and small (just over 6 inches tall) package.
There are two versions of the system - LITE and PRO. LITE delivers IAQ data only to smartphones using a mobile app account. PRO works with a web-based app account, delivering data to the cloud where it can be accessed, reviewed and analysed, from anywhere in the world, via smartphone, laptop, tablet or PC. Both come with the nine sensors.
AirProfiling’s MD, Graham Mills told ThisWeekinFM: “It is a fact that indoor air can be over five times more polluted than outdoor air. In commercial sectors, organisations are beginning to realise that poor indoor air quality not only affects employees’ long-term health and wellbeing but also has an impact on their day-to-day cognitive performance and productivity.
“There is also the question of people’s right to breathe healthy, unpolluted air. In most organisations, employees don’t have a clue if the air they’re obliged to breathe is polluted or not. And the employer can’t tell or reassure them either because there is no air quality monitoring system.”
