Global FM business ABM has signed a contract with Transport for London to provide mechanical and electrical services across the London Underground network.
ABM has worked with Transport for London (TfL) since 2017, after signing a deal to clean all tube stations, bus depots, head office buildings and the London Transport Museum.
Under the new hard FM contract, ABM will provide services such as maintaining heating and cooling systems and lighting.
Campbell Murdoch, Business and Industry Managing Director at ABM said: “We first began working with Transport for London in 2017 when we were awarded the contract to clean London Underground stations and trains, bus depots, head office buildings and the London Transport Museum. We have since navigated the pandemic in collaboration with TfL, employing increased hygiene measures to ensure the network remained safe for frontline workers and commuters travelling during lockdown and beyond.
“We are proud to continue that relationship, now able to showcase our technical capabilities, and ensuring they receive a data-enabled service that will enhance efficiency.”
Richard Sykes, SVP and President for UK and Ireland at ABM added: "This is a significant move towards achieving our strategic vision for ambitious growth in 2024. ABM has an impressive client portfolio across the sectors we serve and the services we offer; expanding the relationships we have with incumbent customers will be key to our plans and offer our partners increased efficiency as just one of the benefits.”
