BESA Annual Conference Programme Announced

The full programme for The Building Engineering Services Association’s sixth annual conference has launched.

Taking place on 12 October 2023 at Novotel London West, the agenda features three distinct strands: business, technical, and young engineers.

There is a close focus on skills shortages, the push for net-zero, the rapid development of digital technologies, and the commercial and contractual challenges facing the building engineering sector. 

The programme has been designed to appeal to building services professionals, young engineers, facilities managers, manufacturers, and specifiers.  

 

Keynote from Lord Nick Markham CBE

 

The keynote will be delivered by Lord Nick Markham CBE, who was appointed Parliamentary Under Secretary of State at the Department of Health and Social Care on 22 September 2022. Nick is also the Portfolio Minister for the New Hospital Programme, which will see over £20 billion spent on new hospital infrastructure in England.

Other speakers include The Building Engineering Services Association (BESA) President Claire Curran, Dr Jo Jolly, Deputy Director and Head of Project Futures at the Infrastructure and Projects Authority (IPA), and Amos Simbo. Founder and Director of BPIC Network (Built Environment Inclusion).

All tickets include a £10 donation to the Lighthouse Club Charity and BESA members are free.
