Bouygues UK Restructures Under New CEO

Under new CEO Fabienne Viala, Bouygues UK will be split into three new business units.

Two of these will be regional businesses: London & South East led by Philippa Prongué and South West & Wales run by John Boughton. Gerald Farque will lead a new complex projects business unit for healthcare, science, and research projects.

Fabienne, who is the current Chair and UK Country Director for Bouygues Construction, will take over from Rob Bradley, who is retiring from the company after serving as CEO since 2018.

Fabienne trained at the École Spéciale des Travaux Publics, du bâtiment et de l'industrie engineering school and joined the Bouygues Construction Group in 1987. She became head of production in 2001 and was then named Deputy CEO of the management committee of Bouygues Entreprises France-Europe. She transferred to Bouygues Energies & Services in 2012, where she headed the Facilities Management unit in France and Italy, and she was appointed CEO for the Western regions of Bouygues Energies & Services in 2015.

She said: “Rob has led Bouygues UK through some exceptionally challenging times for our sector and we are very grateful to him for his invaluable contribution to the business. These changes will enhance our design and construction abilities, create value, strengthen our brand in sustainable construction and enable us to better serve our clients.”
