Emcor UK has added data centre operations to its facilities management services capabilities.

A new data centre team, led by Steve Clifford, Director of Data Centres, will offer services related to design, build, management and maintenance.

The team will assist clients in meeting key challenges such as optimised Power Usage Effectiveness (PUE) and managing risk and resilience.

Steve Clifford said: ”Our end-to-end self-delivered solution offers customers a complete design, build, management and maintenance solution. Providing them with the uptime, assurance and resilience they need to meet today's data centre demands while also creating readiness for future sustainability, scaling and growth, to deliver peak performance for their data centre operations."

To meet the growing demand for AI processing and storage requirements, the global data centre market is predicted to expand at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 15 per cent each year until 2027,  according to JLL’s latest Global Data Centre Outlook report.

Data centres in the UK are classified as critical national infrastructure, deemed essential for the functioning of society, on par with energy supply, water supply, transportation, healthcare, and telecommunications buildings.
