Emcor will provide total facilities management services across 67 Cadent sites.

Cadent is the UK’s largest gas distribution network, servicing 50 per cent of the UK’s gas customers. The new contract with Emcor encompasses 67 of Cadent’s sites including 50 staffed locations across the UK.

The contract includes catering, security, and asset management and maintenance services.

Emcor says that its successful tender was due to its “track record of maintaining energy assets” and its “engineering expertise”.

Troy Hurrell, Operations Director at EMCOR UK, said: “The energy sector is a complex industry that requires deep expertise from supporting partners. This win is testament to our engineering excellence, innovative nature and outstanding health, safety and risk management record. We’re excited to start what we hope will be a long and successful partnership.”

Sheryl Inman, Head of Property at Cadent, added: “EMCOR UK’s expertise is evident not only in engineering and energy infrastructure support but across all areas of estate management. The comprehensive nature of its service offering, evidenced during the tender process, demonstrated clear capability to handle our complex requirements."
