Former Sage Newcastle HQ For Sale

The former Sage headquarters office building in Newcastle upon Tyne, North Park, has been placed on the market.

The 212,865 sq ft office building is located in Newcastle’s Great Park, and Cushman & Wakefield has been appointed by Sage UK as the property's agent to market.

Sage, which was founded in Newcastle, has been based at North Park since 2004, housing more than 1,500 staff.

The building is located six miles from Newcastle city centre in one of the region’s largest residential and commercial areas. North Park is available on a leasehold or freehold basis and would suit a range development or investment opportunities, subject to planning.

 

28.9 Acres of Land

 

Constructed in 2004 and purpose-built as Sage Group’s headquarters, North Park sits within 11.7 hectares (28.9 acre) of land. In addition to the main office building, the site includes several car parks and vacant land to the north of the site.

The office building is split into six distant blocks adjoined by internal full-height atriums and includes a café, restaurant with seating area, gym and leisure facilities.

Greg Davison, Partner, in Cushman & Wakefield’s National Offices team, said: “The Sage building occupies a significant site on the outskirts of Newcastle and offers an unrivalled opportunity within the region with a wide range of possible uses beyond its existing office use, including residential, assisted living or mixed-use development, subject to planning.”

Sage announced it would be vacating the building in 2019 after 15 years, and will shortly be relocating to Cobalt Business Park in Newcastle.
