An office development at 100 Fetter Lane has achieved a WiredScore Platinum rating for its digital infrastructure.

A Platinum rating represents the highest achievement for a commercial building's digital connectivity, demonstrating an outstanding commitment in this area. The scheme also recently won “Best Net-Zero Project of the Year” at the Consultancy and Engineering Awards.

Materials Passports

The 94,000 sqm office development, Edenica, is a circular economy-focused commercial scheme. Sustainability and Engineering Consultancy Waterman is piloting the use of Materials Passports on the project, using digital data sets that hold information about materials and components used. Edenica is the first scheme in the City of London to be designed as a “data storage bank” in this way.

It is predicted that Material Passports will help to facilitate the reuse of materials in the future, providing an accurate record of a building’s credentials.

Mark Terndrup, Waterman’s Managing Director for Building Services South, said: “I’m thrilled to see Edenica achieving the highest WiredScore certification. This is a huge success for the project team and a testament to our focus on digital infrastructure, sustainability and the integration of user-facing technology. This latest achievement is another important milestone that reinforces why Edenica is setting a new standard for London commercial property.”

Tom McClellan, Country Director, UK & Ireland and Growth Markets, WiredScore, added: “In achieving WiredScore Platinum, BauMont Real Estate Capital and YardNine have demonstrated excellence across the board when it comes to the provision of digital infrastructure in their scheme. We are confident that, by recognising the value of a seamlessly connected environment, occupiers of Edenica will reap the benefits of a space that is optimised for collaboration and productivity.”
