Construction professionals now have access to the industry’s largest dataset of eco-friendly materials, featuring over 250,000 products.
The resource, from sustainability platform One Click LCA, enables designers, engineers and specifiers to select lower-carbon options for projects, helping to reduce the sector’s environmental impact.
The data includes Environmental Product Declarations, carbon footprints of products, and generic life-cycle assessment. The platform has the ability to compare the carbon impact of different materials side-by-side.

According to One Click LCA data, carbon emissions can be more than one-third lower if people select the lowest-carbon materials compared to the highest-carbon choices available. Almost 90 per cent of construction industry professionals say the lack of Environmental Product Declarations is the most limiting factor for life cycle assessment and embodied carbon reduction.
“We want to embed decarbonisation into the design and construction process, instead of it being an afterthought. Materials Compass brings all the global EPDs together for designers, buyers, and specifiers. This makes finding and choosing lower-carbon and sustainable materials easy,” said Panu Pasanen, the CEO & Founder of One Click LCA.
