JPMorganChase’s new home will accommodate 10,000 employees and thousands of daily guests in a setting crafted for efficiency and wellbeing. Designed by Foster + Partners, the building is New York City’s biggest all-electric tower with net-zero operational emissions. It is also the largest installation of triple glazing in the city.

The skyscraper, which stands at 1,388 feet tall, has a tiered fan column structure and triangular bracing, which allows the building to touch the ground lightly across the entire block. The scheme stands 80 feet (24 meters) off the ground.
Across 2.5 million gross square feet of space, Foster + Partners has created a “city within a city” feel with a central triple-height community hub with sixteen different venues, including a health and wellness centre and a curated art programme including works by Maya Lin, Leo Villareal, Gerhard Richter, Refik Anadol, and Norman Foster.
An advanced HVAC filtration system provides an outdoor air ventilation rate of 40 cubic feet per minute per person, double the standard specified minimum outdoor air ventilation rate.
The building is designed to achieve LEED Platinum v4 and WELL Health-Safety Rating. 97 per cent of demolition materials have been recycled, reused, or upcycled, surpassing LEED’s 75 per cent benchmark.
Jamie Dimon, Chair and CEO of JPMorganChase said: “For more than 225 years, JPMorganChase has been deeply rooted in New York City. The opening of our new global headquarters is not only a significant investment in New York, but also a testament to our commitment to our clients and employees worldwide. By creating world-class environments where our employees can thrive, we are strengthening our ability to serve our clients and communities – locally and globally – for generations to come.”
