The East London NHS Foundation Trust Estates Team has won three accolades at the Building Better Healthcare Awards.

The 26th annual Building Better Healthcare Awards rewarded the most innovative projects and products in the healthcare sector, with three awards going to The East London NHS Foundation Trust, a mental health and primary care trust with facilities across Newham, Hackney, Tower Hamlets, Bedfordshire and Luton. The trust provides mental health facilities, community health services and primary care over 130 properties.

The awards were: Estates & Facilities Team of the Year, Patient's Choice and Best Patient Safety Initiative for its pioneering air quality work, thought to be the first of its kind in a mental health inpatient unit in the UK.

David Stevens, Director of Estates, Facilities and Capital Development who was in attendance with his team including the Estates People Participation Lead Gari Belasco, told ThisWeekinFM: "Receiving these awards is a tremendous honour for our team and a testament to our commitment to putting our patients at the heart of everything that Estates & Facilities does.

Winning the Patients’ Choice Award is particularly meaningful, as it reflects the positive impact our initiatives have had directly on those we serve. Our committed team works tirelessly to create a safe, comfortable, and inclusive environment, and it’s incredibly rewarding to see those efforts recognised. We will continue to build on this foundation, striving to enhance the service user experience in every way we can."
