David Stevens, Director of Estates Facilities and Capital Development at ELFT said: “Congratulations to the whole East London NHS Foundation Trust Estates Team. You are amazing at what you do and I’m so very proud of each of you.

“Thanks to the judges at #DIMH for recognising the world class work of our outstanding team in providing exceptional commitment to the communities that we serve.”

The East London NHS Foundation Trust (ELFT) is a mental health and primary care trust, with facilities across Newham, Hackney, Tower Hamlets, Bedfordshire and Luton.

The facilities and estates team was recognised for their commitment to engaging with both mental health service users and clinical teams in estate and facilities-related matters. This includes introducing an innovative Patient-Led Assessments of the Care Environment (PLACE) Programme and implementing local Environmental Assurance Groups (EAGs) across all inpatient units.
