The BCIA is the go-to industry association for the building controls industry, now representing over 160 members from across the UK. Earlier this year more than 50 per cent of the BCIA’s membership were involved with co-creating its Corporate Plan, which sets out the goals for the organisation in the next three years and how its collective vision can be achieved, not only for the Association, but for the industry and its members as well.
More recently, the BCIA has worked with the Electrotechnical Certification Scheme (ECS) to create an extended suite of new building controls cards which better meet the competency needs of the industry.
Meanwhile, the BCIA’s Young Engineers Network has continued to thrive since its launch last year and is increasing its presence with attendance at tradeshows and organised events with the aim of attracting new talent into the sector.
BCIA President Graeme Rees said: “We are delighted to be attending CIBSE Build2Perform Live this year. It is an important event in the industry calendar that promotes inspired thinking in the built environment and beyond.”
He added: “The BCIA exists to create healthy buildings, through building controls systems, and we are proud of the fact that our members deliver the technology to create healthy buildings, through whole-life building and energy management solutions. Events like these enable us to increase our engagement with the wider industry and raise awareness of our members and the contribution they can make in creating a more sustainable built environment. We look forward to seeing you there.”
