Archus Launches New FM Team

Archus has launched a new estates and facilities management team, led by Dr. Rachel Dick, Archus Associate Director.

Dr. Rachel Dick is joining Archus to lead the new team, which will deliver strategic systems that will help healthcare trusts to build and manage resilient and sustainable estate and infrastructure.

Archus, formed in 2017, provides strategic and infrastructure advice to health and social care clients.

Dick, a ThisWeekinFM Editorial Advisory Board Member, has a deep understanding of the data and systems behind the performance of healthcare estate, including its cost to build and operate.

Her knowledge and experience will help trusts control budgets and minimise operational risk, as well as delivering new buildings and repurposing existing estates into safe, comfortable spaces in which to deliver intelligent care services.

Recent completed projects include the outline business case (OBC) for the construction of a new hospital in North Manchester, planning and delivering estate and facilities services for an acute London NHS Trust's community services, as well as working for the Post Office and other high profile client projects.

Chris Turner, Executive Director at Archus commented: "We are delighted that Rachel is joining Archus. She has an important role in helping our clients to meet the Government’s target of a 40 per cent reduction in greenhouse gases from the built environment by 2050. Much of this reduction will come from transforming existing estate, harnessing efficiencies and monitoring results. This is where Rachel’s comprehensive experience will prove invaluable."

Dr. Rachel Dick added:

"I am excited about the opportunity to work with Archus and to join their team of experts who are focused on delivering better healthcare environments. I’m passionate about working collaboratively with like-minded people, and introducing best practices that allow healthcare staff to focus on the patient rather on operating the hospital and its services"
