- BDO’s Head of FM Transactions Named on 100 Executives Role Model List
24 May 2023
BDO’s M&A Managing Director and Head of Facilities Management Transactions Satvir Bungar has been named one of the top 100 leaders for his work in supporting diversity and inclusion in the workplace.
This is the third year running that Stair has been named in the list, which celebrates leaders who are breaking down barriers at work for people of colour within global businesses.
Satvir heads up BDO’s ethnic diversity network CEDAR, which also has offshoot groups East & South East Asia Network and The African Caribbean Heritage Network.
Satvir, who has been with BDO for more than 15 years and acts as a longstanding mentor to junior colleagues, has been integral in supporting BDO’s graduate talent campaign to attract high-performing ethnically diverse graduates. His commitment to championing equality, diversity and inclusion and creating social mobility initiatives, alongside his collaboration with sector bodies in the facilities management industry and pro bono advice to various company boards, have contributed to his inclusion in the top 100.
Satvir continues to focus on improving the long-term career prospects of young people and creating safe spaces for under-represented talent within the workplace.
Commenting on his place on the 2023 list, Satvir said: “The Empower lists are important to showcase and celebrate those who work hard to make their teams and workplaces a more inclusive and accommodating environment.
“At BDO we are committed to championing diversity and I am humbled to be included again this year. I will continue to use my expertise and experience to drive impactful initiatives and bang the drum for truly equitable workplaces.”
