Cloudfm has made two key appointments to its senior team, appointing a new CFO and Business Development Director.

Haydn Mursell, an experienced CFO, joins the group as an Advisor to the Executive Board, and Graeme Smith has been appointed as Group Business Development Director.

In June, ThisWeekinFM reported that Cloudfm was embarking on a major re-structure of their business, including several job losses.

“The Cloudfm Exec Board consisting of four long-standing directors and two board advisors / non-executive directors (NEDs) will drive our accelerated strategy over the next four years to meet our purpose of ‘restoring trust in a failing industry by changing the rules.’”

–Jeff Dewing

CEO, Cloudfm

Mursell has held senior positions at a number of large, international organisations including Kier Group and Balfour Beatty, and specialises in business strategy, growth and performance.

Mursell said: “I’m excited about the idea of changing the FM industry through the increased use of technology. I’ve been impressed by the way Cloudfm has responded to the coronavirus crisis, by completely re-designing the way it operates and through the acceleration of its technology programme.:

Graeme Smith has over 25 years of commercial experience and has worked extensively in the facilities management and telecomms sectors. Most recently Smith was responsible for winning, retaining and growing regional and global corporate clients across various sectors within ISS Group.

Smith said: “I’m looking forward to building on Cloudfm’s success, further developing the strategy with technology-led solutions that generate real and tangible value for our clients. I’m excited to be part of such a forward-thinking company whose values and beliefs align with mine.”

Smith will continue to develop Cloudfm’s facilities management business, as well as playing a key role in establishing the position of Cloudfm’s smart technology brand, Mindsett, in the market.

Jeff Dewing, CEO said: “With the impact of COVID-19 since March this year, our development team in partnership with Essex University have accelerated our technology and innovation programmes by over three years. This has resulted in Cloudfm preparing for a huge scaleup over the next few months to bring some groundbreaking IoT and AI technology, not seen anywhere else in the global market.

“To facilitate this launch, it has been important to appoint some of the industries most experienced talent to assist us in navigating this exciting new chapter in Cloudfm’s growth plans.

“The Cloudfm Exec Board consisting of four long-standing directors and two board advisors / non-executive directors (NED) will drive our accelerated strategy over the next four years to meet our purpose of ‘restoring trust in a failing industry by changing the rules.’”
