Andrea Strong, Managing Director of Corps Monitoring, has won the technical award at the 2024 Women in Security Awards.
The awards recognise the accomplishments, value and contributions of women in the security industry, whether that’s for a commercial organisation in-house or for a security services provider.
Andrea Strong has over three decades of experience in the security sector and joined Corps Monitoring, part of Corps Security, in 2023. She has been instrumental in the growth and success of Corps’ Alarm Receiving Centre (ARC) in Glasgow, and has fostered a significant collaboration with the National Robotarium. Angela has also created an Innovation Group at Corps, encouraging her team to explore new technologies and ideas.
Andrea said: “I am incredibly honoured to have won this award. It reflects not only my work but also the dedication and innovative spirit of the entire team at Corps Monitoring. Together, we are pushing boundaries and embracing new technologies to create safer spaces. I look forward to continuing this journey and creating an environment where women are empowered to lead and innovate within our industry.”
Mike Bullock, CEO of Corps Security, added: “Andrea’s win is well-deserved and a testament to her leadership and technical expertise. She has been instrumental in driving innovation and raising the bar for technological advancements within our operations. I couldn’t be more proud to see her hard work and dedication recognised and look forward to the continued impact she will make on the industry.”
