Read Full ArticleDavid Cooper and David Stevens have been appointed Court Assistants to the Worshipful Company of Engineers for up to seven years.
As Court Assistants, David Cooper and David Stevens will assist the Court of the Worshipful Company of Engineers in its governance and decision-making processes. They will also share professional engineering knowledge, providing support to engineering professionals throughout their careers.
This appointment recognises the contributions of both individuals to the field of engineering and their commitment to upholding high standards of professionalism and innovation. David Cooper is the Vice President of CIBSE (Chartered Institution of Building Services Engineers) and the Managing Director of LECS (UK) Ltd. He has been in the lift & escalator industry since 1980, directing projects including the Emirates Cable Car in London. David Stevens is Chair of the CIBSE FM Group, Chair of the CIBSE LGBTQI+ Panel and Director of Estates, Facilities & Capital Development at East London NHS Foundation Trust.
The Worshipful Company of Engineers is a livery company dedicated to advancing engineering excellence, and was the first livery Company to receive a Royal Charter for 47 years. All members of the worshipful company are Chartered Engineers, and are from all the professional disciplines of engineering, technology and business.
David Cooper commented on the appointment: “It is an honour to be appointed as a Court Assistant to the Worshipful Company of Engineers for a third term. I am excited to collaborate with colleagues in furthering the Company's mission of promoting excellence in engineering practice and education."
David Stevens added "I am privileged to join the Company of Engineers as a Court Assistant. I look forward to working alongside David and other engineering leaders to support and promote the practice of engineering.
