The East London NHS Foundation Trust has appointed two new assistant directors to the Estates and Facilities Directorate.

The trust is looking to improve and develop the diverse estate it owns and manages across East London and Bedfordshire. Providing mental health facilities, community health services and primary care, the trust operates over 130 properties and as a foundation trust it has over 9,000 members .

Bevan Speariett CIWFM MIHEEM has joined from NHS Property Services and has worked with several key public sector organisations including the Metropolitan Police Service, DEFRA, London Fire Brigade, and the NHS.  His role will focus on the engineering and Infrastructure side of the trust’s estate.

Speaking exclusively to ThisWeekinFM, Bevan said: "I'm honoured to be working for an NHS trust that is forward thinking and is focussed on quality improvements. I look forward to being part of the dynamic team that will work closely with service users to deliver continuous and significant change and progress within ELFT".

Focussing on facilities management and the patient environment, Adam told us: "Having worked in many FM fields in premises such as offices, shopping centres and COVID labs, I am excited to join an experienced team and bring my own varied knowledge to the NHS. We have a department focussed on delivering an experience to our service users we can be proud of and helping to improve population health"

David Stevens, Director of Estates, Facilities and Capital Development said of the two new team members:” Recognising the benefit a fit-for-purpose estate has in helping us improve the quality of life for all we serve, we have recently grown the leadership team employing experts in their field.
