Read Full ArticleHSBC will move 270 employees from its Temple Quay base into EQ Bristol, a new workspace due to open in Q3 of 2023.
The bank will take 11,000 sq ft of the 200,000 sq ft building, housing approximately 270 employees.
Operated and managed by CEG, EQ Bristol is a BREEAM Outstanding building situated a 6-minute walk from Bristol Temple Meads station.
James Shepherd, Head of Corporate Banking South West at HSBC UK, said: "We are delighted to make this investment as part of our long term commitment to Bristol and the South West. Bristol is a key strategic office for us and this move will provide a fantastic working environment for our colleagues whilst also supporting our commitment to reducing our impact on the environment."
Rumours continue to circulate that the banking giant will leave its London HQ at 8 Canada Square in Canary Wharf. In 2021, CEO Noel Quinn said that HSBC would free up 40 per cent of its office footprint.
