SPIE will add a further 1,800 employees to Imtech. The acquisition is intended to support Dalkia Group and EDF in expanding its UK operations.
SPIE specialises in multi-technical services in the areas of energy and communications, achieving a 2021 turnover of £200 million.
Imtech currently operates in the M&E engineering, technical FM, energy services and control systems spaces. The company’s 2026 strategy involves expanding the business in targeted sectors such as education, industry and infrastructure. The acquisition of SPIE UK will enhance Imtech’s current offering with a range of speciality services in industrial instrumentation, clean rooms, and life safety solutions.
